Most “no heat” calls are repairable without a full swap. On site we diagnose and, after you approve the estimate, fix common wall-heater faults:

Wall heater replacement

If the heat exchanger, cabinet, or vent path is shot — or parts cost more than a new unit — we write a replacement estimate before we pull the old heater. After you approve, we remove the failed unit, set the new wall heater, reconnect gas and controls we scoped, and test heat and venting we can reach.

The new unit may be customer-supplied or discussed after the look. Extra vent, drywall, or permit work is called out in the estimate — we do not start that unless you approve it.

Gas leak and carbon monoxide (CO) checks

We check fittings and connections at the heater for gas leaks and test for carbon monoxide around the unit, plus a visual look at the vent path we can see (including the roof termination when we have access).

Emergency: if you smell gas, hear hissing, or a CO alarm is sounding, get everyone out, call 911 or the gas company, and do not operate the heater. Message us after it is safe for follow-up service.

A leak / CO check is not a substitute for a whole-house gas-line survey or a fire-department response.

Thermostat replacement

If the heater is fine but the room never calls for heat, we can swap the wall-heater thermostat and confirm the unit responds. If the heater itself is the problem, we say so before any extra parts.
