Wall vs window install
Through-wall units sit in a sleeve cut into the wall — common in apartments and older LA homes. The sleeve must be sized and sealed correctly so the unit doesn’t rattle, leak air, or drain poorly.
Window units mount in the window opening with side panels and support. We secure the chassis, set the tilt for drainage, and seal the sides so outdoor air and pests stay out.
